Some of the photos aren't great quality but you get the idea.<br />
<br />
We had 120 people at Unwind this year - slowly it grows.<br />
I did 2 classes - the first was Double Knitting - which creates a great double-sided fabric. It is slow to work so I wouldn't do a lot of it - but I am planning a specific project.<br />

We also have a Swap Shop where you can bring along yarns you don;t want and swap for something else. Here is my haul!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiemXbIvEfY1XLiswhuC1mYJTHzshtxaDf33Q1inj_L4zJEi62jQVyS5mpgRsz93W0c4OCGiOlEiVBGI1l0oIh9t4u0zDIooq0J8e7YqyaRunGKuO1NdrRr9rvGh0UzbJapS6mn2pUPBIAW/s1600/IMG_1905.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiemXbIvEfY1XLiswhuC1mYJTHzshtxaDf33Q1inj_L4zJEi62jQVyS5mpgRsz93W0c4OCGiOlEiVBGI1l0oIh9t4u0zDIooq0J8e7YqyaRunGKuO1NdrRr9rvGh0UzbJapS6mn2pUPBIAW/s1600/IMG_1905.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>

And now for the yarn. Most of my buys have specific projects in mind. The Silver Lining is made from a mix of fleeces from outlying places - this one is Stewart Island and Arapawa Island(in the Marlborough Sounds) and is destined for a sweater. The Zealana Air is a lace-weight - 25g of 40% cashmere, 40% possum and 20% silk!!! I think that will be some fingerless mitts - I have a pattern that thinks it can be achieved with just 25g. The cheerful red is a 50/50 silk/merino that is to be a stripe in a sweater with the main colour being dark blue.<br />

I bought the 2 blues from Vintage Purls - this is also where I work! I am thinking of combining with the natural colour and maybe another and using them for a design.<br />

The yarns above are from Outlaw Yarns - a sport-weight that is 45%Polwarth, 45% Alpaca and 10% possum. We don't get a lot of sport weight yarns made in NZ and these were lovely colours. I have had a pattern for mitts, that need a lot of colours of sport-weight yarn, for years so pleased to be able to make them now.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There was a special deal on Zauberball - so I bought 3 - the turquoise one will be a gift and the other 2 I will use for my Double Knitting project.</div>

And, finally, we had a group photo of a recent KAL. A group of us had been making Enchanted Mesa; a Stephen West pattern. It is a pretty wacky pattern but fun. Well some didn't think so - ask Alaine. She made the one on Fiona (next to me) but then gave it to her so she wouldn't have to see it again!!!!!</div>

Yes - it is that time again. All the secret squirrel projects came out of hiding, gifted to happy recipients and drooled over by the rest of us. And lots of ideas for future projects.<br />
I made a 4 colour version of The Koru Cowl, using hand-dyed yarn, for Kirstine/Kiwiknit.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The colours were a bit 'out there' - I'm still not 100% sure about them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

To get this - a coat for hens that don't have their full quota of feathers. The SPCA in Auckland rescues hens from battery cages and they are often missing some of their feathers so the coats are to keep them warm until their feathers grow back. I used scraps from an earlier crocheted cowl - hence the very stylish colour-block coat. Bet the other hens will be jealous.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

First up are my <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kellie-fingerless-gloves" target="_blank">Kellie Fingerless Gloves</a> which I made for wearing under my leather 'rigger' gloves. I now have a casual job at the local port counting logs prior to loading. It is an outside, work-in-all-weather type job so I figured I would need something to keep my warm in winter. I used a fine possum/merino yarn, doubled to get the equivalent of a fingering weight, and knit them on 2mm needles so they would be very dense.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH0sDNNAZvKQDIqBtIe0pMVFsdJTtI5VAZKdWs81gWXVDZGE6sAZqF6tFlgHbUn4ltJ-OdiYoSut7I_llZtT2x3ZsWeb76ecJ4b-tD4sB0Ix1UDgEDQs8lerzsMtUtrk7yL3fDyUmK9zqp/s1600/IMG_1754.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH0sDNNAZvKQDIqBtIe0pMVFsdJTtI5VAZKdWs81gWXVDZGE6sAZqF6tFlgHbUn4ltJ-OdiYoSut7I_llZtT2x3ZsWeb76ecJ4b-tD4sB0Ix1UDgEDQs8lerzsMtUtrk7yL3fDyUmK9zqp/s1600/IMG_1754.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
And then something a little more delicate: <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/miss-havisham" target="_blank">Miss Havisham</a>, a Vintage Purls pattern and using Vintage Purls yarn. Added detail included beads and a little over-embroidery. I won't be wearing these on the wharf.<br />

And here we have Rebel Jacket No.2 - also referred to as my Sgt Pepper Jacket.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Vq-jRexJMQGA97pdv1fpqV_hKwP39THmy9puD4gu-mHdRqjVtyYORgw0gmYvxsTCKqRzzcZ_Mcto25f3WD0QYvqIdEqGKAc-OFPTtie0v4PE0yGSLTw8F0V4BhjqPMEnWZlCJgY_FHNQ/s1600/IMG_1745.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4Vq-jRexJMQGA97pdv1fpqV_hKwP39THmy9puD4gu-mHdRqjVtyYORgw0gmYvxsTCKqRzzcZ_Mcto25f3WD0QYvqIdEqGKAc-OFPTtie0v4PE0yGSLTw8F0V4BhjqPMEnWZlCJgY_FHNQ/s1600/IMG_1745.jpg" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
The first one I made was in red, cream and grey - so this is a little more subdued.<br />
The 3 darker colours are from the Mill Shop in Milton. They are a 50/50 alpaca/merino mix.<br />
And the lighter mustard highlight colour is from Skeinz - a blend of various yarns.<br />
All were an economical buy which was a good bonus.<br />
Also the buttons were sourced from our local Shop on Carroll; an Op Shop which recycles buttons from old clothing among other things. Also making it more economical.<br />
The jacket is supposed to be made from a worsted/aran weight yarn and I used DK and made a size smaller - fortunately it seems to have worked out.<br />

First up in the finishing stakes is another Zuzu's Petals - this one for me. I fell in love with this particular Zauberball (Sphinx) - gorgeous shades of teal/green/browns - perfect. I put it on to take the photo and didn't want to take it off - so there it stays for the day. Cosy neck - yay!<br />

My friend makes and sells chocolate at the local Farmers Market - which is held at our Railway Station. Her stall is on the the railway platform and, even in summer, can be rather breezy and cool. I made her some mitts last year and then she asked for another pair - so this is the 2014 model.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglGHRNLTakxvNcmwIaiQFJKckl7qowQqP-k_O5dnG_4qbklsbQx1hmIprm324SR2YvA7aIJusWYeq2o5EaUqdEZr_50sGQm1fMkPb2BlCz2I6ley5PQfuEK-VRWADaxYdYX63Mf8dWPsgY/s1600/IMG_1690.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglGHRNLTakxvNcmwIaiQFJKckl7qowQqP-k_O5dnG_4qbklsbQx1hmIprm324SR2YvA7aIJusWYeq2o5EaUqdEZr_50sGQm1fMkPb2BlCz2I6ley5PQfuEK-VRWADaxYdYX63Mf8dWPsgY/s1600/IMG_1690.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
I've used a Vintage Purls Sock yarn - the chocolate colour is called Leathermoon.<br />
The other is a lovely coloured yarn I bought at Unwind - by the local Tria Fata Fibre Arts - colour is called Belize.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It is a 'mitts for chocolate' barter - win win!<br />

I wanted something straightforward to work on during Unwind - so started on this cowl. I have made this before - it is <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/cosy-neck-warmer.html" target="_blank">The Cosy Neck Warmer</a> by Lucy of 'attic24'. She has written up a great tutorial for this. The yarn I used this time was Lion Brand Cotton Ease - left over from the baby blanket I made last year.<br />

If I was a better person I would have remembered to take some photos of the general event - but there you go - I forgot.<br />
My friend Ngaire has a trader stall where she sells great screen-printed Tshirts - with a knit theme. She made a wee space for me and I sewed some boxy shaped Project Bags.<br />

The one below was a 'work in progress' - it was a great fabric - a toile look but the images were actually 'Day of the Dead' figures. It proved the most popular.<br />

Well now I can introduce you to The Koru Cowl.<br />
This was my design for our Knit Retreat last weekend - Unwind, 2014.<br />
It can be made using Double Knit or Fingering-weight yarn.<br />
My lovely friend, Seta, modelled it and it really improved the quality of the photos.<br />

I received lots of lovely comments on my design and, best of all, it won the competition - by popular vote! Happy days.</div>

This is <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/viajante" target="_blank">Viajante</a> which I made late last year for my sister who was going to the UK over Christmas.<br />
It took a while to make but the lace weight is just right as it isn't too bulky. I used Vintage Purls lace yarn.</div>

So I finished the Hodge booties.<br />
<br />
Also I finally got around to decorating an old pair of white Converse sneakers - plastic lace and fabric paint. I'm really happy with the transformation<br />

For the last month or so I've been working on <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/slanted-sleeven" target="_blank">slanted-sleeven</a> using a Vintage Purls sock yarn in a lovely silvery grey shade. It is to go with a dress as I always find it is not usually warm enough in the evening to do without. The pattern had me flummoxed at the start; I think because it is written in the European style. Anyway after a bit of intensive reading I worked it out and have to say it was very precise and quite easy to work from once I had figured it out. The cardigan is a top down, seamless construction - I am always in awe of anyone that thinks these up - they are a lot of work. I kept the length quite short to go with the cinched-in waist of the dress. I finished it off with some little silver buttons - $1 from Shop on Carroll (our local upmarket op shop that has lots of great buttons).<br />

I am also working on the larger size of the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hodge" target="_blank">Hodge</a> booties - they are irresistible. And I love the colour which is a mix of an orangey red and pink - another Vintage Purls sock yarn.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoy1n2d_MJZ9IdsHDrnNEd-jLHEG7jbHcDcSSeCCs8R_9M2khT97G5zuACmz-uumcdpoSU5yC-1OwALYW1MJCaGw3lhyphenhyphenSAXxaLvbDjMqxc0x4NKAsdgiaX54xn-q1YPxF0o9xXffBYzaiH/s1600/IMG_1542.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoy1n2d_MJZ9IdsHDrnNEd-jLHEG7jbHcDcSSeCCs8R_9M2khT97G5zuACmz-uumcdpoSU5yC-1OwALYW1MJCaGw3lhyphenhyphenSAXxaLvbDjMqxc0x4NKAsdgiaX54xn-q1YPxF0o9xXffBYzaiH/s1600/IMG_1542.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
I forgot to show my two other Christmas cowl presents - this is <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/quoits" target="_blank">Quoits</a> a Vintage Purls Sock Club pattern and both made using Vintage Purls sock yarn.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

And then there was the Teeny Tiny things for Baby F - born 10 weeks prem - so the<br />
booties should fit as they are very small<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvAd2OQ_8YAeJ-9tHfPz3R2bQ77abcoZYWTvV-eaXz_3CNmI36LCZJvdHgGC9v7ocI_LKAfQWQ6A9zabI9cARPogeeBTshseDQljxvqEkquyt3vTKJoBshlvLbKieLPk0hVw_OeZDevko7/s1600/IMG_1613.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvAd2OQ_8YAeJ-9tHfPz3R2bQ77abcoZYWTvV-eaXz_3CNmI36LCZJvdHgGC9v7ocI_LKAfQWQ6A9zabI9cARPogeeBTshseDQljxvqEkquyt3vTKJoBshlvLbKieLPk0hVw_OeZDevko7/s1600/IMG_1613.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
The Tiny Nordic mitts and...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_n72PQdLgKQSH7KV_FIBZgIGfiWyJPi7feB49ZAsCdF1K-m_BHPVIurnnnGuNX1OApl7mA2W7WdG1ayO6cR8S8ZWUHU0XKCce1pNY9vycV3LNhlNI1xzBkA62Yz60ey2mM029RMd7KCnP/s1600/IMG_1621.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_n72PQdLgKQSH7KV_FIBZgIGfiWyJPi7feB49ZAsCdF1K-m_BHPVIurnnnGuNX1OApl7mA2W7WdG1ayO6cR8S8ZWUHU0XKCce1pNY9vycV3LNhlNI1xzBkA62Yz60ey2mM029RMd7KCnP/s1600/IMG_1621.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
The booties are <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hodge" target="_blank">Hodge</a>; a Stella Lange design. The top part is folded over a rib pattern underneath - which means they are supposed to stay on. I've used Vintage Purls sock yarn for them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBd-N00JOTC-PoQIlUlCjpZXmYg0iEjIjVhN7EiZ8eLL97PpJ-miQlnh5-hlaBbK4fC33ZDFE4CXjj5wl9WGcL4fSG2UVKq2lC_D-r0VHyCRh-LFSvqYrw4YtRWert9FBKsXakcUgC-xlc/s1600/IMG_1623.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBd-N00JOTC-PoQIlUlCjpZXmYg0iEjIjVhN7EiZ8eLL97PpJ-miQlnh5-hlaBbK4fC33ZDFE4CXjj5wl9WGcL4fSG2UVKq2lC_D-r0VHyCRh-LFSvqYrw4YtRWert9FBKsXakcUgC-xlc/s1600/IMG_1623.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
Now I'm working on a design for Unwind so can't show that until it goes public in mid March.</div>

At last I can reveal what I was busy with in the lead up to Christmas.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiImk-CabVjl65aBVhIKs-w8WI0tM1jCla0uMBhbGEc2sWKEWSQ1p2p7c2FCSF_N2NhaWlJdV2eZd1Wyg0Ye8Omyh7KSKpRc2G8B5RhIGhzPGG454YcKSciugw8hZFhAImCXehjK2B7lb7_/s1600/IMG_1600.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiImk-CabVjl65aBVhIKs-w8WI0tM1jCla0uMBhbGEc2sWKEWSQ1p2p7c2FCSF_N2NhaWlJdV2eZd1Wyg0Ye8Omyh7KSKpRc2G8B5RhIGhzPGG454YcKSciugw8hZFhAImCXehjK2B7lb7_/s320/IMG_1600.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
This is the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/purl-ridge-scarf" target="_blank">Purl Ridge Scarf</a> by Stephen West. I made 2 of these using Vintage Purls Max - and they were beautifully squishy. Of course it is summer here so they may not get worn for a while yet.<br />
<br />
Then there was this:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH35M1IFBAls7RyAXJzIWG77A6nM61TaIFhyKIO_iW34-rmxBNNKSgvfzgUb79xEMEKLYNJzAhfO7LFrSTVPrbl5dNxfkjVDKfdb-Dny1q85hjTOoutGb32YvidAS2CnpKFJl0q4sGBw2z/s1600/IMG_1598.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH35M1IFBAls7RyAXJzIWG77A6nM61TaIFhyKIO_iW34-rmxBNNKSgvfzgUb79xEMEKLYNJzAhfO7LFrSTVPrbl5dNxfkjVDKfdb-Dny1q85hjTOoutGb32YvidAS2CnpKFJl0q4sGBw2z/s320/IMG_1598.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/cosy-neck-warmer.html" target="_blank">Cosy Neck Warmer</a> by Lucy of attic24. I'd made some more colourful ones earlier but this one was requested in dark grey and black. I used an Alpaca/Merino yarn from our local Mill Shop.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
And lastly I went a bit ballistic with <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/zuzus-petals" target="_blank">Zuzu's Petals</a> making 6 of them using the Zauberball - very happy with the result.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

So pretty much everyone got a cowl for Christmas. What better since I had declared it my Year of the Cowl.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I finished these lovely <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ngaire" target="_blank">Ngaire's</a> for my friend Lee. I used a Touch Yarn sock yarn that contained bamboo, silk, nylon and merino wool. It is very soft though I worry it may pill or rub.<br />

And I am currently working on a <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/summer-flower-baby-throw" target="_blank">Baby THrow</a> - it is a Lion Brand pattern and I'm using the Lion Brand Cotton Ease suggested in the pattern. It is half cotton, half acrylic - worsted weight. Not the easiest to crochet but I'm loving the colours and affect as it grows. Also it is assembled as it is made - so no arduous finishing.</div>

Oops - have been a bit distracted/busy lately. But always time to knit so here's what I've been up to.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I finished 2 of these baby singlets using Vintage Purls laceweight yarn. They are so soft and squishy that any baby should be happy and cosy. Apparently they can be worn next to the skin as a traditional type of singlet or over a onesie as a kind of vest.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiuAzUKr2zD8DYMtK3GHSYAM5rheQKL_PdzpSJffOa_hK3D-Rof67g4vtRG2THU1Jd66-sNufLOGkM6UlO6VfsiQfSTKKo2dNe_IRKF_LE3Nt_f5K62WRzZuY1GbxAxr-eZXiUes0KkLwe/s1600/IMG_1572.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiuAzUKr2zD8DYMtK3GHSYAM5rheQKL_PdzpSJffOa_hK3D-Rof67g4vtRG2THU1Jd66-sNufLOGkM6UlO6VfsiQfSTKKo2dNe_IRKF_LE3Nt_f5K62WRzZuY1GbxAxr-eZXiUes0KkLwe/s320/IMG_1572.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
And I finished the Central Park Hoodie. This has been on my want list for a few years and I've even been sitting on the yarn for months - so good to see it take shape. And I like it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I'm pretty pleased with it. I added a one row border as well.<br />
I'm planning for this to last into my dotage.<br />
<br />
And last weekend we had our annual Knit Camp - and did a non-knitting project - bookmaking and book binding. It's pretty cool. The part I enjoy the most is choosing paper and binding for the covers.<br />
And Karen brought some of her stamps so we could add those.<br />

The second instalment of Vintage Purls Winter Sock Club was a lovely cowl - partly because I had harrassed Morag into doing one - seeing as I have declared 2013 to be the 'Year of the Cowl" for me.<br />

I used a different yarn (Colour Adventures Merino Light) that my sister had bought for me in Canada last year. It is a fairly simple knit - so I plan to make more for Christmas presents<br />

Another Cheery Cowl - using leftover yarn from my first one.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And I finally started to lay out the squares for the Rainbow Blanket and began the sewing up.</div>

I had noticed, when sewing up the dolly blankets, that my usual darning needle tended to split the yarn so I decided to try the HiyaHiya darning needles - and they work really well with their blunt curved tip.</div>

This cheerful cowl is from <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/cosy-neck-warmer.html" target="_blank">attic 24</a>. It is her Cosy Neck Warmer and she has a great photo tutorial for it. I decided to go for some cheerful colours - as a counter to winter blues.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4iXOYt4MeKtgKlBN3kXgHIsTGutGKLGAUFwAU4AAuzV6hV6p_i0mz53pkRQZpAdxOGDzLnMzbYu1Re291kefL2CIM7OV4lctyZyq02xCEcI1gCJhHGqkTekKO6c3jQ2sIy0pyNjNsetWG/s1600/IMG_1512.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4iXOYt4MeKtgKlBN3kXgHIsTGutGKLGAUFwAU4AAuzV6hV6p_i0mz53pkRQZpAdxOGDzLnMzbYu1Re291kefL2CIM7OV4lctyZyq02xCEcI1gCJhHGqkTekKO6c3jQ2sIy0pyNjNsetWG/s320/IMG_1512.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
At first I decided to have the borders blue but changed my mind halfway through and finished with an orange border. So it could be worn either way.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I really like the whole style of it and would make it again.<br />

This is Elfe - and I really like it. It is made from Vintage Purls Sock yarn - a fingering weight - so it is not too heavy. It could be worn on its own or with a top underneath - very practical for Dunedin's climate. I fell in love completely with the pink colour, Elsa S. It was from the Winter Sock Club and supposed to be for socks but I thought it was far too good to be hidden away.<br />
And look how sunny it is here - we are really having a mild winter at the moment and it is confusing all the plants. I noticed some crocuses out this morning.<br />
