I have switched to doing some crochet. I haven't crocheted since my poncho phase many, many moons ago. So I wanted to check and make sure I had it right when my knowledgeable knit/crochet friend was in town this weekend. So out came the recently arrived yarn

Knitting and a gift

Mostly I have been working on this Tropical Garden Vest - this is the second one! It is for my sister. She bought the new main colour (a dark charcoal) and there was enough of the other colours left over from the first one.

It is a friend's birthday next week and when she said she liked pastel colours I went off to look for more paper to make another tray

I found this soft pink and then also saw the gold one - perfect!

This is Rosie in her new hoodie. It looks a lot better on her than it did before.

She is just one year old and I knitted it for a 1-2 year size - so she will get a bit of wear out of it yet

I chose colours that I hoped would go with her colouring/complexion and it seems to have worked.
